Ruy Lopez-Nussa pretends to develop and show through a band the methodology used in the book “Ritmos de Cuba” (percussion and drums).
This work gathers since the didactic approach the cultural heritage of the percussion in the island, using in detail the gesture of these rhythms on drums.
Popular and folklore genders are shown in a very simple and attractive way, showing the rich and varied rhythms through an interchange between afro Cuban percussion and drums.
At the same time, it is mixed a very wide range of rhythms with new arrangements related to jazz and different musical streams, adapted specially to this the band lineup (piano, drums, bass, trumpet and percussion).
